I'm about to admit something reeeeeally embarrassing to y'all. You're welcome.
I have been craving chocolate so bad lately (well, I always crave chocolate but this was worse than usual!) and today I decided it was time to give in. So I went to the delicious bakery by our house and picked out the most chocolate-filled cake they had.
This story probably wouldn't be that embarrassing if it wasn't for what I did next. The girl asked me if I wanted anything written on it, and for some reason, I blurted out, "yes, can you please put 'congrats!' on it?" Then I proceeded to tell her a made up story of my husband's promotion and that his favorite cake is chocolate fudge. (That's a LIE! There was no promotion, and he is not a fan of fudge cake!)
I guess I didn't want to be that sad little girl who eats a whole cake by herself (I have done this once or four times before, and I've never been able to finish it, just so you know :) I'm not that impressive!)
Please tell me I'm not the only one who has done something like this before!? (Or just lie to me to make me feel better :)

This is hilarious! I love it!!!!!
Bahahahaha!!!! I love it!! She probably thought you were the best wife ever!
I am so so glad to read about your pup!!!!
lolololololol.
Can't say I've ever bought a cake under false pretenses. ; ) But, now that I know this can be done, it might be in my near future!
hahaha I love it!
This made my night!!! Love it!!
Next time, you should just ask her to put "MINE, all MINE!" on the cake. :) what was Doug's reaction when he came home to a congratulatory cake?? Haha
haha hilarious! i love that you made up a story right on the spot like that. that cake looks delicious!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Incredible. This is definitely the hardest I've laughed today.
I've never done that before, but I don't blame you one bit. That was probably fun coming up with a cool story. I'd absolutely help you eat it, though.
...and once, I had them write, "Fancy Shortpants" on a cake because that's what Jenn and I used to call underwear. Embarrassing.
Oh, wow! That is a GREAT story!! But I know what you mean about cravings. As a personal challenge, I gave up baked goods for the month of April. It's part of a weight loss goal, but also just as a test to my self-control and reliance on God during temptation. Well...I made it to April 25th! Then I went to a luncheon at work and was served chocolate fudge cheesecake. And I.could.not.resist. And I didn't. I ate the whole thing! And it was a BIG piece! I was the only person at my table to eat their whole piece!! Then I was ashamed. But I get it. I totally get it.
hahaha! love this! I've never actually done this, but I'm not gonna lie...this is FABULOUS idea! Hope the cake was as yummy as it looked!
This is awesome! I love that you even made up a story! haha
Haha this is awesome. I buy cake mixes/cookie dough/anything chocolate all the time for myself. There's just something about chocolate that gets me. When you crave it, you crave it.
OMG that is hysterical! That was smart though. I would probably have just let her think I was going to eat the whole cake myself. You're creative!
Hahhahahahaha. This story makes me so happy. I would totally do something like this!!
This is amazing! I love you so much for this! I'm sorry, I have not done this. But I think it's awesome that you did :)
